The Los Angeles Kings kept their road win streak alive with a dramatic comeback victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Wednesday.

The streak looked to be over heading into the third with the Kings trailing 3-0, but a flurry of goals in the opening 6:38 of the period brought the Kings back.

They dominated the remainder of the game and took it to overtime.

In the first shift of overtime, a nice exchange of passes at the top of the point between Anze Kopitar, Drew Doughty and Adrian Kempe ended with a Doughty one-timer.

Doughty wired the one-time change over Elvis Merzlikins glove and in.

Here are three takeaways from the overtime victory:

Kings With a Record Breaking Victory:

The Kings' victory on Tuesday extend their road winning streak to 10 games, which ties the NHL record for consecutive road wins.

They've been one of the best teams in hockey to start the season and have been unstoppable on the road so far.

A word the continues to come up when talking to players about the streak is "confidence."

This team knows they're dominant on the road and come into opposition buildings with the expectation of a win.

The Kings won't finish the season 41-0 on the road, but have a real chance for a record breaking win on Thursday in Montreal.

    Kings Show Resilience:

You don't want to read too much into an early December victory over a team anchored to the bottom of the division, but you have to be excited by the resilience Los Angeles showed on Tuesday.

It would have been easy for the Kings to head into the third thinking a road loss was inevitable and it's just one of those nights, but they didn't.

They rallied and grinded their way back into the game, led by two goals from Philip Danault.

That's the kind of fight you need to see from a team with Stanley Cup aspirations.

That kind of resilience and confidence in their game will serve them well deep into this season.

Drew Doughty Comes in Clutch Again:

If there is a clutch gene, Doughty certainly has it.

He's made a habit of scoring crucial goals for the Kings this season and did so again on Tuesday.

He also led Kings skaters in time-on-ice with 24:45.

An absolute horse for Trent Yawney on the back-end, Doughty continues to prove he's still a true number-one defenseman in the NHL.

His game-winner was also his sixth of the season, putting him just three goals off last seasons total.

There's been a lot of talk about Doughty working on his shot, and it's clearly paying off.

Adding another element to his game at this age is very impressive and a testament to his work ethic.
