It's always tough to lose a game on a special night like Saturday, when Anze Kopitar broke yet another Kings record, but it wasn't all negative in the eyes of head coach Todd McLellan.

McLellan discussed the defense pairings and why they were switched so frequently and Cam Talbot getting his third straight start.

Of course, McLellan also addressed Anze Kopitar, particularly the impact of a personal moment like having Kopitar's son, Jakub, come in to announce the starting lineup.

After the first two games, McLellan discussed how individual errors hurt them and he went back over them again Saturday.

Alex Laferriere grabbing his first career goal was also mentioned as more praise was heaped onto the rookie forward.
