The LA Kings made two selections in the 2ne Round of the draft. They drafted Liam Lefebvre at 46th overall and Adam Goljer at 49th overall.
The Kings had 2 second-round picks in the 2026 NHL draft, and with those picks, they drafted Liam Lefebvre and Adam Golijer. Lefebvre will be with the Cape Breton Eagles in the 2026-27 season after spending the 2025-26 season with the Chicoutimi Sagueneens. Goljer spent the 2025-26 season with HK Dukla Trencin.
Liam Lefebvre
Liam Lefebvre spent his 2025-26 season with the Chicoutimi Sagueneens, where he put up 17 goals, 13 assists, and 30 points in 25 games. During their playoff run, he registered 12 points in 20 playoff games, including 5 goals.
Lefebvre is an all-around type of player and can have an impact on the Kings' bottom six. Lefebvre is 1 year older than most of the prospects in the draft, but he is a player who can play a physical game while also having a strong two-way game. Liam, if he can work his way into the Kings' lineup, can be a very strong option as a depth forward.
Adam Goljer
The second player that the Kings took in the 2nd round was Adam Goljer. Goljer spent his 2025-26 season with HK Dukla Trencin, where he played in 43 games, scoring 4 goals and tallying 7 assists for 11 points. Adam would also go to the World Juniors, where he played 5 games but did not register any points.
Adam Goljer's style of play is that of a two-way right-shot defenseman who uses his hockey IQ to make plays rather than make flashy ones. Goljer is also good at transitioning the puck, and at 6 feet 3, he uses his body to help close gaps and stay defensively sound.
