After looking back at the Kings goaltenders and defensemen, it is now time to see how the Kings' forwards impacted the Kings throughout the 2025-26 NHL Season.
Adrian Kempe remains one of the most consistent Kings players, finishing the season with 73 points, the same total as the year before. He also led the Kings in points and goals, so he remains one of the best Kings players, if not the best.
Adrian Kempe's Season
Kempe once again had a great season, leading the Kings in points. In 81 games, Kempe registered 36 goals, 37 assists for 73 points. After adding Artemi Panarin, Kempe's offensive game improved playing alongside Panarin, and Kings fans should be excited for next season as that duo continues their strong play.
Kempe has been the player the Kings look to for offensive help, and this season, offence was the Kings' weakest point, as they ranked 4th last in goals per game at 2.68. While Kempe had 36 goals, the Kings' second-highest scorer was Byfield with 24.
Kempe, who usually is the Kings' biggest offensive star, got help from Panarin, and now the Kings can have more scoring rather than having Kempe carry the offensive load. Adrian Kempe was the Kings' best forward this season, with his numbers similar to those of seasons past. Looking ahead to next season, the Kings will not need to worry about his play, as they trust he will continue his strong, consistent play.
Looking forward to next season, Adrian Kempe's extension kicks in, and he starts his 1st year of an 8-year deal with the Kings. With the hiring of Peter Laviolette, Kempe's offensive numbers may improve under the new system that Laviolette brings to the Kings.
Overall, this season was another strong one for Kempe. With the new coaching changes and the addition of players who have a big impact on offence, Kempe could find more success, as the Kings have more offensive changes that can provide scoring up and down the lineup, rather than relying on Kempe to be the primary goal scorer night in and night out.
