
The NHL announced the awards for the 2023-24 season. The Wild had one finalist for one of the five awards which were announced on Thursday night. Brock Faber was up for the Calder Award along with Connor Bedard and Luke Hughes.
Faber, 21, has finished second in voting behind Bedard and Hughes finishes third in voting. Wild's Marco Rossi also received some votes and finished sixth. Faber got 42 first place votes, 146 second place votes, and three third place votes.
In 82 games for the Wild this year, Faber recorded eight goals, 39 assists, and 47 points. He finished first in time on ice and blocked shots amongst all rookies and ranked sixth in the entire NHL in time on ice and 40th in blocks.
Rossi and Faber were the only two players on the Wild to have played in all 82 games. They joined Hughes and Logan Cooley as the four rookies to have played the full season in the NHL.
