Wild prospect Riley Heidt breaks a Prince George Cougars playoff record for most career assists in Franchise History. Heidt passed Blair Betts with his 22nd career playoff assist.

Heidt, 19, has recorded a point in every playoff game he has played in this year for the Cougars. He ranks second in the WHL in assists with 15 and third in points with 18. He also has three goals.

The Wild's 64th overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft finished the regular season with 37 goals, 80 assists, and 137 points in 66 games. He ranked third in the WHL in points and second in assists.

He became the third player in Cougars history to reach 100 points in a season and became the all-time assist leader in Prince George's history this year. On top of that, Heidt now holds the franchise record for most career playoff assists.

Minnesota signed Heidt to an entry-level deal not long ago and will likely give the 5-foot-10 center a chance to make the NHL out of camp if he impresses enough. Heidt is someone Wild fans should keep a close eye on.
