ST. PAUL - One of the Wild's prospects, Rieger Lorenz, is set to play in the NCAA Frozen Four which starts tonight. He is the only Wild prospect of the four teams.
Lorenz, 20, was the Wild's second-round pick in the 2022 draft after he played in the AJHL with the Okotoks Oilers. The 6-foot-3 forward put up 38 goals and 85 points in 60 games for the Oilers and was taken by the Wild with pick No. 56 in the 2022 draft.
In 42 games for the University Denver this season, Lorenz has notched 15 goals and 28 points and is now playing in the NCAA Frozen Four.
