After playing in seven games this season, the Wild have sent down Liam Ohgren.
ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Wild made two roster moves on Thursday. Forward Luke Toporowski, who was placed on the season-opening injured reserve to start the season, is healthy and has been sent to the American Hockey League (AHL).
Liam Ohgren, who has played in seven NHL games this year, has also been sent to the AHL. The Wild now have 12 forwards on the roster.
Ohgren, 20, had one goal and one assist last year in four NHL games. He averaged 14 minutes and 31 seconds then. This season, Ohgren averaged just nine minutes and 33 seconds.
In seven games, Ohgren recorded zero points, eight shots, and was a minus-2. He has now been sent to the AHL with the Iowa Wild in hopes to regain his offensive game and help a struggling to score Iowa team.
