Wild trade Brandon Duhaime to the Colorado Avalanche

The Minnesota Wild have traded forward Brandon Duhaime to the Colorado Avalanche for a 2026 third-round pick.

Wild Trade Deadline Preview

Brandon Duhaime came prepared on the Wild's road trip. He packed an extra suitcase just in case he was traded.

He knew there was a chance and now it is now official. Duhaime has been traded to the Colorado Avalanche for a 2026 third-round pick.

Duhaime, 26, has been in the Wild's organization since 2019 and has made a name for himself as a good bottom-six aggressive forward. Duhaime was the Wild's fourth-round pick back in 2016.

The 6-foot-2 forward went on to play three years at Providence College and two years in the American Hockey League with the Iowa Wild before making his NHL debut on October 15th, 2021. He has been with the Wild ever since.

In 193 career games, all with Minnesota, Duhaime has recorded 19 goals, 35 points, 230 penalty minutes, and 502 hits with an average of ten minutes and 31 seconds of ice time across three seasons.

The Florida native is a speedy and physical bottom-six forward that will fit in nicely with the Avalanche.

While we wait on the return, Duhaime was told he has been traded and Adam Beckman took his spot in line rushes this morning.
