
The Iowa Wild, the Minnesota Wild's AHL affiliate, reduced their training camp roster to 30 players on Thursday.
Iowa assigned forwards Louis Boudon, Brett Budgell and Maxim Cajkovic to the ECHL's Iowa Heartlanders and released forward Gavin Hain, defensemen Ben Brinkman and Nolan Orzeck and goalies Drew DeRidder and Peyton Jones from professional tryout contracts.
• The Iowa Wild announced on Wednesday that they've signed a five-year lease extension with Polk County and OVG360, which operates Wells Fargo Arena, and the extension begins in the 2023-24 season.
"The organization is excited to extend our lease with Polk County and Wells Fargo Arena for another five seasons," Iowa Wild president Todd Frederickson said in a press release. "Over the past decade, Des Moines has provided the team with an outstanding environment for player development. The entire Wild organization is thrilled with the opportunity to share the next five years with the local community and our fans."
