Wild head coach John Hynes indicated that Marcus Foligno will be a game-time decision for tonight's game against the Calgary Flames.
ST. PAUL - The Wild placed Filip Gustavsson on the Injured Reserve list not long ago and are already without Jonas Brodin, Mats Zuccarello, Kirill Kaprizov, Vinni Lettieri and now they could be without Marcus Foligno tonight with the addition of no Gustavsson.
Yet this team is still 11-5-0 under John Hynes and are still finding ways to win and stay competitive.
Foligno did not partake in line rushes this morning and has been ruled a game-time decision by Hynes. Zuccarello was taking line rushes with Pat Maroon and Freddy Gaudreau but is not expected to play.
If Foligno is not ready to go tonight, the Wild will have to play with 11 forwards and seven defensemen unless they quickly put Kaprizov on IR and call up a forward but Iowa has been so thin at forward with the Wild calling so many up that they are playing most games with just 11 forwards as well.
Hynes said that there has been something lingering for Foligno and wasn't just an injury that happened last game. If he is out tonight, Jon Merrill will be the seventh defensemen.
