Wild forward Marcus Foligno and his brother Nick, squared off against each other last night but before the game the brothers joked about Taylor Swift.
Before the Minnesota Wild faced off against the Chicago Blackhawks in Chicago, brothers Nick Foligno and Marcus Foligno joined the TNT Broadcast.
The two brothers, like any brothers, went after each other on the air during warmups until Paul Bissonnette asked if the two of them had thought about doing a podcast similar to what the Kelce brothers, Jason and Travis, do. Both of the two play in the NFL. Travis plays for the Kansas City Chiefs who play in the Super Bowl on Sunday.
Nick joked that they wouldn't be able to do that because one of them (Travis) is dating Taylor Swift. Nick later followed it up by jokingly saying "Our wives are hotter." The broadcast and the brothers shared a few laughs after Nick's funny comment about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
After the dust settled and the game began the two brothers went at it head-to-head like they have done many times in their careers.
The Wild got an early 1-0 lead in the first period after Jake Lucchini scored his first goal of the season.
In the second period, Marcus laid a huge hit on Blackhawks defenseman Jared Tinordi which led to a fight between the two not long after.
Marcus landed a few big rights on Tinordi and eventually cut his ear open. Tinordi did return to the game but that wasn't before Nick Foligno tied the game at 1-1.
The Wild forward had two hits and seven penalty minutes not even halfway through the game as he was trying to make a big impact. But his brother Nick seemingly had the advantage after he scored his tenth goal of the season tying the game at 1-1.
TNT's in-between-the-benches reporter Darren Pang said on the air after Nick's goal that Marcus told Nick 'It’s bullcrap, I fight and you score.' Pang was in the middle of the scrum and told the story on the broadcast with a chuckle.
This didn't hold up though. Marcus later scored in the third period with under ten minutes left. This turned out to be the eventual winner in a game that had the Foligno brother's fingerprints all over it.
