According to Satiar Shah of Sportsnet 650, the Canucks did offer Yeo a contract extension, but the two sides were unable to come to an agreement." } }, { "type": "paragraph", "data": { "text": "Yeo had been with the Canucks for the last two seasons after being brought in by former Wild head coach Bruce Boudreau. Rick Tocchet was brought in on January 22nd, 2023, and coached a full season with Yeo as his assistant this year. But with Yeo's contract expiring, the former Wild head coach and the Canucks decided to part ways. He was the Houston Aeros' head coach during the 2010-11 season and eventually took over as the Wild's head coach from 2011-2016. " } }, { "type": "paragraph", "data": { "text": "He then coached the St. Louis Blues before joining former Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher in Philadelphia for three years as an assistant before becoming the interim head coach in December of 2021. He was 11-17-0 in the playoffs with the Wild and 17-22-0 all-time in the playoffs.
