Klingberg, 32, recovered from his hip resurfacing surgery that he had in 2023 and has now signed a contract with the Edmonton Oilers. They traded a 2025 4th round draft pick, Nikita Nesterenko and Andrej Sustr to Anaheim for the right-shot defenseman. Minnesota did not sign him after the season and let him walk. Klingberg signed a one-year deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He played 14 games with the Leafs before he got hurt.
