After trading Calen Addison, the 23-year-old offensive defenseman, to San Jose earlier, the Wild have now acquired 33-year-old defenseman Zach Bogosian from the Tampa Bay Lightning for a 2025 seventh-round pick. Bogosian has played 787 games in the NHL with five different teams across 16 seasons. He has recorded 213 points and 715 penalty minutes while holding a career plus/minus of -82. The veteran defenseman brings physicality to the lineup which has been much needed on the Wild's blueline for a while now. The 6-foot-3 defender also won a Stanley Cup with the Lightning during the 2020 season along with former Lightning and now current Wild forward, Pat Maroon. Bogosian's leadership and physicality will bring a dynamic look to the locker room that could turn around their slow start to the season and could really help the Wild get some of their identity back as a hard team to play against.
