

Phot Credit: Nick Wosika-Imagn ImagesST. PAUL - The Minnesota Wild placed defenseman Travis Dermott on waivers today. The Wild originally claimed Dermott off waivers on December 13th from the Edmonton Oilers.
Since then, he played in nine games with the Wild out of the 28 games the team had played. Dermott hasn't played since January 26th.
Dermott, 28, has zero points and five shots in his nine games with the Wild. The Wild are already carrying an extra defensemen and don't need a second. Especially with injuries to their forwards.
If he clears, Dermott would go to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).
