One of the Wild's recent first round pick is set to have surgery, according to reports.

An original report for Hockey News Hub on X (Twitter), suggested that Wild prospect Danila Yurov would miss the rest of the season with an injury

Another report suggested that Yurov has missed the last few games in the KHL with Metallurg with a lower-body injury and will get surgery to fix it. He will be back for the KHL playoffs.

The second report has been confirmed.

Yurov, 21, was the Wild's 24th overall pick from the 2022 NHL Draft. He has 13 goals, 12 assists, and 25 points in 46 games for Mettalurg this season.

He recorded 21 goals, 28 assists, and 49 points in 61 games last year in the KHL and broke the KHL record for most points in a season as a 20-year-old. The previous record was held by Vladimir Tarasenko.

His 27 goals and 58 points over 84 regular season and playoff games are the most productive player's D+2 year the KHL has ever seen in its history. D+2 means his second season after the NHL Draft.

Yurov's point totals have dipped this year but he has still been an effective scoring forward in a tough league.
