Vancouver Canucks 2025–26 Season Series Preview: Montréal Canadiens

Vancouver didn’t fare well against Montréal in 2024–25, though the Canucks made both games pretty close. They dropped both matches against Montréal in January and March, allowing a total of nine goals in both games. Their first matchup with the Canadiens takes place at home on October 25, with this being the first of a back-to-back for Vancouver as they’ll face the Edmonton Oilers the day after. Their next game against Montréal isn’t until January 12 at the Bell Centre.1y

2025 WHL Prospect Pools: Montréal Canadiens

The Canadiens added two WHLers to their prospect pool during the 2025 NHL Entry Draft. They selected Kelowna Rockets' forward Hayden Paupanekis in the third round, before drafting Medicine Hat Tigers defenceman Bryce Pickford just a few picks later. Montréal also selected Vancouver Giants forward Tyler Thorpe in the fifth round of the 2024 draft, adding size and speed to their prospect pool.1y
