
Gustav Lindstrom could be in the lineup with the Montreal Canadiens host the New Jersey Devils at the Bell Centre on Tuesday night.


The Canadiens will begin a three-game homestand tonight as they host the New Jersey Devils. The Devils will be followed to Montreal by the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday and the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday.
Montreal Canadiens recalled defenseman Gustav Lindstrom on an emergency basis on Tuesday morning. David Savard was added to the injury list with an upper body injury after he blocked a shot from Tage Thompson in Monday night's game. The team advised that Savard will be out indefinitely.
Puck drop is slated for 7:15 pm. as part of the NHL's Frozen Frenzy on ESPN with all 32 teams in action.
The veterans came to play on Monday night as Brendan Gallagher, Tanner Pearson and Sean Monahan led the way. Fellow vet Jake Allen was stellar in goal making 36 saves.

Devils forward Jack Hughes has tallied four goals and six assists for 10 points in four games this season.
Former Canadiens forward Tyler Toffoli was acquired by the Devils in an offseason trade from Calgary. Chris Tierney is also a familiar face in the New Jersey lineup.
Vitek Vanacek may be the starter in goal for the Devils. He has a 1-1-0 record this season.
The Devils have won their only road game of this season.
The Canadiens have been cruising along near the top of the league in 5-on-5 statistics. Where they do need improvement is on special teams. The Devils, expected to be one of the league's best teams this season are still finding their footing especially on the defensive side of the game.
