    The Montreal Canadiens continue their five-game homestand on Thursday by hosting the Tampa Bay Lightning. The only change to the lineup is in goal with Cayden Primeau getting the start. Check out our complete game preview here:

    19:46 - Jayden Struble hits the post as the Canadiens put pressure early on. MTL 0 - TBL 0

    17:23 - Joel Armia banks in a rebound from Brendan Gallagher's one-timer. Armia has four goals in his last five games. MTL 1 - TBL 0 

    15:57 - Kaiden Guhle heads to the dressing room after being hit by Nikita Kucherov. MTL 1 - TBL 0

    10:15 - With the Lightning on the power play, Cayden Primeau made the initial save on Brayden Point but the rebound was knocked in by Nicholas Paul. MTL 1 - TBL 1

    3:34 - Michael Eyssimont drives to the net, goes around Jayden Struble before taking a shot. The rebound hits Struble and crosses the red line.  TBL 2 - MTL 1

    0:00 - Through 20 minutes, the visitors have the lead. Shots were 8-8 in the first period. The Lightning are 23-2-2 this season when leading after one period.  TBL 2 - MTL 1

    Second Period

    20:00 - Guhle not on the bench as the period begins. 

    15:18 - Alex Newhook sets up Armia in the slot for his second goal of the night. MTL 2 - TBL 2 

    12:02 - Steven Stamkos completes a tic-tac-toe play that began with Brandon Hagel and Anthony Cirelli. TBL 3 - MTL 2 

    10:48 - Rafael Harvey-Pinard's pass hits the back of Michael Pezzetta's skate and ends up on the blade of Paul. He beats Primeau with a top corner shot. TBL 4 - MTL 2 

    6:42 - Six seconds following the expiration of a questionable tripping penalty on Mike Matheson, Brandon Hagel uses Anthony Duclair as a screen to beat Primeau. TBL 5 - MTL 2

    2:15 - With Matheson in the penalty box again for tripping, Kucherov is left uncovered and blasts the puck in the back of the net with a one-timer for Tampa Bay's second power play goal of the evening. TBL 6 - MTL 2

    0:00 - The Lightning dominated the second period by outshooting their opponents 21-6. Canadiens confirmed that Guhle will not return to the game tonight sidelined with a upper body injury. TBL 6 - MTL 2

    Third Period

    20:00 - Montreal begins the third period shorthanded for 3:47 after Struble received a high sticking in the final moments of the second period. TBL 6 - MTL 2

    16:14 - Struble's double minor concludes with Tampa Bay taking three shots on goal  during the man advantage. TBL 6 - MTL 2

    11:20 - Juraj Slafkovsky continues to produce as he redirects Arber Xhekaj's point shot for goal. TBL 6 - MTL 3

    8:09 - From the back of the net, Nick Suzuki finds Cole Caufield for a one-timer from the slot. Caufield has goals in consecutive games. TBL 6 - MTL 4

    0:54 - Stamkos ends Montreal's hopes with an empty net goal. TBL 7 - MTL 4

    0:00 - Canadiens made a push in the third period but it was not sufficient to get the win. TBL 7 - MTL 4
