Could the Canadiens look to trade these two players before the season?
While trades around the NHL have cooled off now that we are in August, it is still very possible that more moves will go down before the start of the season. The Montreal Canadiens could be a team to watch, as they have some potential trade candidates to keep an eye on.
Because of this, let's look at two Canadiens who have the potential to be traded before the start of the season.
Samuel Montembeault
With the Canadiens having Jakub Dobes and Jacob Fowler, Samuel Montembeault certainly has the potential to be traded before the start of the season. He is currently third on the Canadiens' depth chart and could benefit from a move at this point. If a team that needs a goalie feels that he has the potential to bounce back, he could very well find a new home.
Kirby Dach
Kirby Dach is another player who has the potential to be moved by the Canadiens before the start of the season. Questions about his future in Montreal have come up for a while now, and it is fair to argue that he could use a change of scenery. Maybe he could be used in a trade package to land an upgrade because of it.
