These two former Canadiens have been placed on waivers.
The NHL saw several players hit the waiver wire on Sep. 24, and two of them are former Montreal Canadiens.
According to PuckPedia, former Canadiens forwards Michael Pezzetta and Tyler Pitlick have been placed on waivers.
Pezzetta was placed on waivers by the Toronto Maple Leafs. The 28-year-old is entering his second season with the Maple Leafs organization.
Pezzetta appeared in nine games last season for the Maple Leafs, where he had zero points and 35 penalty minutes. He also posted five goals, six assists, 11 points, and 52 penalty minutes in 39 AHL games for the Toronto Marlies in 2025-26.
Pezzetta appeared in 200 games over four seasons with the Canadiens from 2021-22 to 2024-25, where he recorded 15 goals, 38 points, 241 penalty minutes, and 710 hits.
As for Pitlick, he was placed on waivers by the Minnesota Wild. The former Canadiens forward played in 32 games last season for Minnesota, where he posted two goals and 24 penalty minutes. He also recorded 10 goals and 15 points in 20 AHL games with the Iowa Wild this past season.
Pitlick played in 14 games for the Canadiens during the 2021-22 season, where he recorded one goal and three points.
