Canadiens star Cole Caufield was rewarded for a big week.

Montreal Canadiens forward Cole Caufield has been named the NHL's Third Star of the Week ending March 22.

Seeing Caufield be named the NHL's Third Star of the Week is not particularly surprising, as there is no question that he was excellent during it. In three games during the week, he had four goals, four assists, and eight points. With this, there is no question that the Canadiens' star dominated during it.

Caufield's outstanding week included him recording a hat trick and five points in the Canadiens' most recent contest against the New York Islanders. He also scored the overtime winner in the Canadiens' victory over the Boston Bruins on March 17.

Due to his dominant week, Caufield now has 43 goals, 31 assists, 74 points, and a plus-21 rating in 68 games this season. It has been a special season for the 2019 first-round pick, and it will be interesting to see how he builds on it during this final stretch.
