The Montreal Canadiens extended their winning streak to four games with their win over the Nashville Predators on Oct. 16. Canadiens star Cole Caufield was a huge reason for the Original Six club picking up the victory.

With 20 seconds left in the third period, Caufield tied the game up at 2-2 to force overtime. Then, with just two seconds left in overtime, Caufield scored the overtime winner by one-timing a perfect feed from Nick Suzuki past Predators goaltender Juuse Saros.

This fantastic clutch performance from Caufield also led to him tying a Canadiens franchise.

Caufield scored his 10th career overtime goal for the Canadiens against the Predators. With this, Caufield has now tied Howie Morenz and Max Pacioretty for the most overtime goals in franchise history.

This is an incredible accomplishment for Caufield, especially when noting that he is only 24 years old.

In five games this season, Caufield now has five goals, two assists, seven points, and a plus-3 rating.
