It may only be August, but the Montreal Canadiens are already back on fans’ minds (if they ever even left), and streaming platform Crave is well-aware of that. On Monday, they released a preview of the second season of their hit show, The Rebuild: Inside The Montreal Canadiens.

If it’s anything like the first season, it’s going to be worth your time to watch it, and the trailer sure makes it seem like it will be. In the 94 seconds that it lasts, you can see Martin St-Louis trying to motivate his troop, telling them that sometimes, the league is so hard that it feels like you’ll never win again.

From Geoff Molson talking about being in the mix at the golf tournament to Patrik Laine’s injury in the preseason and Jeff Gorton explaining that you don’t want to start thinking about the draft in November, it looks like the series will be a great retrospective of the season. Still, it will be much more as well.

Get ready to be hit right in the feels, Canadiens’ fans. From Alex Carrier reacting to being traded to the Habs, to Laine saying that anyone who bets against him will lose their money, to Kent Hughes making a call to Brendan Gallagher when the alternate captain lost his mother, it promises to take you on a roller-coaster of emotions, right through to the arrival of Ivan Demidov in town.

With less than six weeks to go until rookie camp gets underway and the Canadiens Prospects Showdown kicks off on September 13, now is as good a time as any to get ready for the season. After all, there’s a reason why the Fantasy Guides hit the shelves in August, and the Canadiens are increasingly relevant in fantasy land.
