Don't be surprised if this Canadiens forward hits a new level this season.

The Montreal Canadiens defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs in their season opener by a 3-2 final score.

Zachary Bolduc played a role in the Canadiens' victory, as he scored a goal against the Maple Leafs.

This was a good way for Bolduc to start his season with the Canadiens after landing his nice four-year, $16.8 million contract with the Original Six club before the campaign. Now, he will be looking to build off his strong start to the campaign.

When noting that Bolduc is only 23 years old and in the early stages of his NHL career, there is clear reason to believe that he can hit a new level this season.

Bolduc had a solid first season with the Canadiens in 2025-26, posting 12 goals and 30 points in 78 games. Yet, it would not be too surprising if his offense improved noticeably in his second season with the Habs.

It will be interesting to see what kind of season Bolduc has for the Canadiens in 2026-27. If he keeps scoring goals and builds on in his all-around play, we very well could see a strong breakout campaign from the Canadiens' young forward.
