This is certainly promising to see.
Montreal Canadiens star center Nick Suzuki has not played for the Original Six club since their Oct. 20 matchup against the San Jose Sharks due to a hand injury.
Yet, it appears that Suzuki could be inching closer to his return.
On Monday, Suzuki practiced as a full participant on the Canadiens' first line with wingers Cole Caufield and Juraj Slafkovsky.
Seeing Suzuki back at practice on the Canadiens' first line is undoubtedly a promising sign. He is the Canadiens' top star, so it is great to see him back with the team.
While the Canadiens are on a five-game winning streak, there is no question that they miss Suzuki in their lineup. He is their best center and an elite two-way forward, so they will in even better shape once he is officially good to return to game action.
In nine games this season with the Canadiens, Suzuki has posted five goals, seven assists, 12 points, and a plus-6 rating. This is after he had 29 goals, 72 assists, 101 points, and a plus-37 rating in 82 games last season for Montreal.
