After taking a nice step forward in the right direction this past season and getting back into the playoffs, the Montreal Canadiens will be looking to build off that in 2025-26. One of the players who the Canadiens will certainly be relying on this upcoming season is forward Josh Anderson.

With the Canadiens being a young team on the rise, having a veteran on their roster like Anderson is a good thing. The 31-year-old winger should continue to provide the Canadiens with some much-needed toughness and bite, which is important for playoff clubs to possess. The 6-foot-3 forward showed this during the playoffs this spring with his solid play.

Anderson being impactful offensively in 2025-26 also should not be ruled out. After a tough 2023-24 campaign, Anderson bounced back a bit this past campaign, scoring 15 goals. If Anderson can continue to provide solid secondary scoring and plenty of grit, it would be big for a Canadiens club looking to take that next step.

Overall, while the Canadiens have several exciting young players to watch heading into this upcoming season, Anderson should not be ignored. He is a key veteran forward for the Habs, and it will be fascinating to see what kind of year he has in 2025-26.
