Jakub Dobes has been more aggressive during the playoffs so far.

It is no secret that intensity picks up in a big way during the playoffs, as the games matter significantly more. Due to this, it is not surprising in the slightest that the series between the Montreal Canadiens and Tampa Bay Lightning has been full of scrappy play and bad blood.

Canadiens' young goaltender Jakub Dobes has also been showing that he is not afraid of the gritty part of the game so far during this series. Dobes notably knocked former Hab and well-known agitator Corey Perry's stick from his hands. Dobes also stopped Guentzel from slashing his teammate with his paddle.

With Dobes being a goalie, he doesn't necessarily need to involve himself with the physical side of the game, but he is showing that he is not afraid to. It has been a fun element to watch with his game so far this postseason, and it will be interesting to see if he keeps playing with some extra grit as the series rolls on.

In two appearances this postseason, Dobes has an .895 save percentage and 2.69 goals-against average. While the Habs fell in Game 2, Dobes certainly played well, stopping 31 out of 34 shots he faced.
