Montreal Canadiens forward Kirby Dach's 2024-25 season came to an end in late February after the 24-year-old underwent knee surgery. It was the second year in a row that Dach's season ended early due to surgery on his right knee.

Since undergoing surgery, Dach has been working on his recovery in hopes of becoming ready for the start of the 2025-26 season. Now, the 2019 third-overall pick has taken a very promising step forward with his injury recovery.

As reported by Marc-Olivier Cook of Dans Les Coulisses, Dach skated in full gear during an informal skate in Brossard this week.

Seeing Dach get back on the ice is certainly encouraging, as it is just another step closer to him being ready to return. The Canadiens will undoubtedly be hoping that he continues to trend in the right direction and is ready to go for the start of the season, as he is expected to be a key part of their forward group in 2025-26.

In 57 games this past season with the Canadiens, Dach recorded 10 goals, 12 assists, and 22 points. In 117 games over three seasons with the Habs, Dach has posted 24 goals, 38 assists, 62 points, and 156 hits.

They only improved it this off-season, too, as they acquired Noah Dobson from the New York Islanders.
