Montreal Canadiens goaltender Samuel Montembeault was gifted a customized denim jacket at an autograph signing

Montreal Canadiens goaltender Sam Montembeault had a memorable fan interaction yesterday morning. While attending an autograph signing, the netminder received a customized denim jacket.

The jacket was designed by Emilee, known as @houndnuggets_ on X, and features historical details from both Canadiens and Montembeault’s past. Patches on the sleeves feature 1909, the inaugural year for the club. Additionally, the logo for the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada of the QMJHL, where the tendy played his junior hockey.

The back panel features an illustration of a goalie net and the number 35 drawn in between the pipes. A Bauer hockey stick visibly spans from the three to the five. The collar has pins of both the Canadiens logo and the Quebec flag, and there are patches of Jacques Plantes and the torch carried by former Montreal greats for pregame ceremonies stitched down the front flaps.

Upon receiving the jacket, Montembeault was delighted, recognizing the design details of his equipment drawn into the 35. He touted the jacket for the signing, saying that his mother was going to love the gift when he showed her later.
