On Saturday, one of the Montreal Canadiens' top prospects, Michael Hage, sat out of the University of Michigan's latest contest against Boston University.
The Wolverines recently had a break in NCAA action. On October 25, they played the United States National Development Team, and Hage scored the overtime winner.
When Michigan returned to league play, they visited the Terriers and won 5-1 on Friday, with Hage chipping in an assist. However, the contest was spirited and physical, with Hage taking several big hits.
On Saturday, when the two teams connected again, a Wolverines 5-4 overtime victory, Hage sat out, and as head coach Brandon Naurato indicated, it was a medical-related absence.
The Canadiens first-round pick, 21st overall from 2024, is tied for the team lead in scoring with four goals and eight points in seven games. Since making his NCAA debut, Hage has only been held scoreless on one occasion.
The Wolverines are back in action on Friday, hosting the University of Notre Dame.
