In 82 games with the Canadiens this past season, he posted 29 goals, 72 assists, and 101 points. He also won the Selke Trophy for the first time in his NHL career as the league's top two-way forward.
Now, Suzuki's dominance from this past campaign has him in very good shape to reach a major new career milestone this season.
Suzuki is currently at 476 points in his NHL career. With this, the Canadiens star needs only 24 more points to reach the 500th of his career.
When noting that Suzuki is only 537 games into his NHL career, it is quite impressive that he is already so close to reaching his 500th point. Assuming he stays healthy, it should not take him very long to reach this milestone during the season.
