The Montreal Canadiens may not be playing right now, but they are planning the rest of the season.

While a lot of players have left town on holidays and GM Kent Hughes is probably working the phones in readiness of the trade deadline, the Montreal Canadiens' marketing department has been hard at work as well. On Wednesday, the Habs announced the March, 3 game against the Buffalo Sabres will be a Kiss-themed game.

The American hard rock band was one of the most popular of all time and while they are not touring since December 2023, their music can still rock an arena. With the Canadiens' recent losing streak, the Bell Centre has turned quiet late in the games recently, perhaps the songs will manage to keep the party going.

To commemorate the night, there will be merchandise such as a T-shirt, a hoodie and a commemorative puck, thanks to the designing talent of local artist Jonathan Bergeron (AKA Johnny Crap) who has worked with Guns N' Roses and Slayer in the past.

If you've had enough of DJ performances and kiddy games at intermission, you'll be please to know that both intermissions on the night will feature performance from Quebec-based Kiss tribute bands.

There will be special concessions, a makeup station on the main concourse so that those who came dressed to kill can get the makeup to match their Kiss costume. You can also expect the often retired mascot METAL! to make an appearance on the night.

The game will be held on the Monday before the March, 7 trade deadline and judging by the current state of affairs, it might not be the only rock and roll day during the week.
