Could the Canadiens add these prospects to their system at this year's draft?

The Athletic's Corey Pronman and Scott Wheeler released their latest 2026 NHL mock draft, where they predicted all the first-round and second-round picks for this year.

With the Canadiens still having their first-round pick and second-round pick, they picked two players in The Athletic's latest mock draft.

For their first-round pick, Wheeler predicted that the Canadiens would select center Ryder Cali. With the Habs' second-round pick, Pronman had Montreal picking left winger Adam Nemec.

Cali would be an interesting prospect for the Canadiens to add to their system with their first-round pick. The 6-foot-2 center appeared in 47 games this season with the North Bay Battalion of the OHL, where he recorded 16 goals, 20 assists, and 36 points. He also had four points in 10 playoff games for the OHL club.

As for Nemec, the skilled winger recorded 14 goals, 21 assists, and 35 points in 31 games this season with the Sudbury Wolves of the OHL. He also had three goals and 15 points in 28 games with Slovakia's HK Nitra this campaign.

Overall, the Canadiens adding these two forwards to their already strong prospect pool certainly would have the potential to benefit. It will be interesting to see who they end up selecting this summer.
