At the 2025 NHL Entry Draft, the Montreal Canadiens selected forward Alexander Zharovsky in the second round with the 34th overall pick. With this selection, the Canadiens have brought in a fascinating and skilled forward who has the potential to become an impactful NHL player in the future.

Zharovsky certainly demonstrated good promise this past season in the MHL with Ufa Tolpar, as he recorded 24 goals, 26 assists, 50 points, and a plus-18 rating in 45 games. Now, he is getting his first chance in the KHL with Salavat Yulaev Ufa, and he is off to an excellent start.

Zharovsky made his KHL debut for Salavat Yulaev Ufa on Sep. 27 against Avangard Omsk and stood out in a major way. While his club lost by a 5-2 final score, he was a major bright spot for them, as he recorded a goal and an assist in the contest.

Zharovsky's goal was a nice one, too, as he one-timed a nice feed from teammate Danil Alalykin.

As for his assist, he showed off his skill with the puck before making a nice backhand feed to Vladislav Yefremov for the goal.

Seeing a game like this from Zharovsky is certainly encouraging. It will be fascinating to see how he builds off it from here.
