The Montreal Canadiens have announced both the starting date of their rookie camp and the 23 players invited.

The Montreal Canadiens hopefuls will be taking part in the organization's rookie camp starting September 11. Until September 17, the players will be vying for an invite at the teams' main camp which will start on September 18.

14 forwards have gotten an invite: Owen Beck, Jared Davidson, Sean Farrell, Emil Heineman, Riley Kidney, Justin Larose (tryout), Filip Mesar, Israel Mianscum, Logan Nijhoff (tryout), Maxime Pellerin (tryout), Charles Savoie (tryout), Tyler Thorpe, Luke Tuch and Florian Xhekaj.

On the blueline, seven defensemen got the call: David Reinbacher, Emanuelson Charbonneau (tryout), Adam Engstrom, Lane Hutson, Logan Mailloux, Simon Motew (tryout) and Owen Protz.

Finally, there will be two goaltenders at camp, Quentin Miller and Samuel Richard (tryout). The prospects will be taking on the Toronto Maple Leafs hopefuls at the Bell Centre on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September.
