Canadiens: Sam Harris Impresses in Development Camp Scrimmage

On Friday Morning, Sam Harris put on a show during the Montreal Canadiens Development Camp Scrimmage. The 20-year-old winger out of Carlsbad, Calif. Scored three goals over the 50 minutes of play.

Harris demonstrated impressive chemistry when paired with the Canadiens' 2024 21st overall draft pick Michael Hage. The two amazed fans who were in attendance with multiple strong passing sequences that led to goals. In one instance, a tic-tac-toe goal that Harris himself finished off.

Harris will return to the NCAA next season, where he plays for the University of Denver and is coming off a National Championship in last year’s campaign. Harris’ display of goal-scoring on Friday is a sign that the objective he has set for himself in his development is trending in the right direction.

“Personally, I want to score more goals than I did last season,” Harris told to the media following the scrimmage. Harris registered 14 goals and 21 points in 42 games last year for the Pioneers. Harris also hopes to win another championship this upcoming year.

“The group we had last year was so tight, and everybody bought into the system,” Harris said. “It was a challenge but everybody stuck together and we pulled it off.”
