The Canadiens should consider targeting this Flames center.

The Montreal Canadiens should be on the hunt for another skilled center.

When looking at trade candidates around the NHL, one player who would make sense for the Canadiens to target this campaign is Calgary Flames center Morgan Frost.

Frost's name is already creating chatter as a potential trade candidate early on this season. It is understandable, as the Flames are in the middle of a rebuild. Furthermore, Frost is a pending unrestricted free agent. With this, he is standing out as a prime potential rental.

While Frost may not be the biggest name in the rumor mill right now, he is still a very solid center who can provide good offense. He certainly showed this last season, as he recorded 22 goals and 43 points in 82 games with Calgary. He also recorded 41 points or more in three out of his three previous seasons.

Frost is also off to a solid start this campaign with the Flames. In nine games so far this season, he has recorded three goals and six points. This includes him having two goals and five points in his last five games alone.

With this, Frost could be an intriguing forward for the Canadiens to add to their roster. He would provide them with more secondary offensive production, which would benefit Montreal. Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see target the Flames center from here.
