It seems like training camp started ages ago but the end is now in sight, there are only four days left before the puck drops on the 2024-25 season.

Today, the Canadiens will be heading to Ottawa to take on the Senators in their last pre-season game. After what transpired on Tuesday night though, it's somewhat worrying to ice a lineup close to what the team should look like on Wednesday. Cleary this is also how coach Martin St-Louis feels:

With everything that happened so far, priority is to start healthy for Wednesday. I don't know what our lineup will be like tomorrow. I'd like to know what Ottawa thinks as well. we'll see tomorrow. It's been a very emotional camp and not just for us but for the whole league, it's a shame to lose players. I don't know yet but I'd like us to start healthy on Wednesday.

Asked if he would consider asking Travis Green what he has planned for tonight, he answered:

Yeah I asked Kent [Hughes] to see if he could speak to Staios [Senators GM Steve Staios] about that.

Whether or not Hughes is successful testing the waters with Staios, there will be no morning skate today but the coach will speak to the media around 11:00 AM ET. By the, St-Louis should have a better idea what is lineup should look like. Watch this space for updates.
