This Canadiens star is a finalist for the Lady Byng Trophy.

The NHL has announced that Montreal Canadiens forward Cole Caufield is among this season's finalists for the Lady Byng Trophy, which is given to the player with the best sportsmanship.

In addition to Caufield, Los Angeles Kings captain Anze Kopitar (who retired after LA's playoff run) and Ottawa Senators defenseman Jake Sanderson are finalists for the Lady Byng Trophy.

This is the first time in Caufield's six-year NHL career that he is a finalist for the Lady Byng.

Caufield certainly had a regular-season to remember in 2025-26, as he dominated with the Habs. In 81 games, he recorded 51 goals, 37 assists, 88 points, and a plus-29 rating. In five playoff games so far this spring, the star winger has a goal and four points.

It will now be interesting to see if Caufield ends up winning the Lady Byng from here.
