This Canadiens prospect stepped up at an important time for Michigan.

Michigan picked up a big 5-2 win over Penn State on Saturday. With this victory, Michigan is set to face off against Ohio State in the Big Ten championship game next week.

Montreal Canadiens top prospect Michael Hage certainly played a role in Michigan's win, as he had a clutch moment in the contest.

At the 12:02 mark of the third period, Hage scored a goal on the power play to give Michigan a 4-2 lead over Penn State. This was a big insurance goal for Michigan, as it gave them more breathing room before Michigan forward T.J. Hughes scored an empty-netter at the 19:30 mark of the third to secure the win.

Hage scoring an important goal in a big game for Michigan is certainly notable. This is exactly what the Canadiens want to see from the 2024 first-round pick.

Hage's goal was a nice one, too, as he scored with a beautiful wrist shot from the high slot.

With this strong performance for Michigan, Hage now has 13 goals, 37 assists, and 50 points in 36 games this season. There is no question that the 6-foot-1 forward has been excellent this season, and fans should be looking forward to his arrival in Montreal.
