Former Canadiens Forward Is Absolutely Dominating Right Now

A former Montreal Canadiens forward is off to an incredible start to the 2026-27 season.

Former Canadiens winger Artturi Lehkonen is playing excellently for the Colorado Avalanche this campaign, and the truth can be seen in his stats.

In 12 games with the Avalanche so far this campaign, Lehkonen has already scored an impressive 10 goals and has recorded 14 points. With numbers like these, the former Canadiens forward is making a major impact for Colorado early on this campaign.

Lehkonen is only continuing to impress as the season rolls on, too. In his last five games for the Avalanche, the former Canadiens forward has recorded six goals and eight points. With this, he is dominating right now.

If Lehkonen can continue to puck in the net like this as the season carries on, he could have himself a career year with Colorado. It is clear that the former Canadiens forward is feeling it in a big way right now, and it will be fascinating to see how he builds on his hot streak from here.

Lehkonen spent six seasons with the Canadiens from 2016-27 to 2021-22, where he posted 74 goals, 75 assists, and 149 points.
