This was an interesting addendum to last night's game against the Colorado Avalanche. Colorado coach Jared Bednar was going to use former Canadiens' forward, Jonathan Drouin in the shootout but he told the coach to use another player.

Drouin know former teammate Sam Montembeault's tendencies told Bednar to use Brock Nelson over him based on the centers shootout move. And it worked and it got his team the win.

Scouting in sports is important. Players do this routinely and former players always have insights against former teams. You can be mad about it but it's also been interesting how this works and it doesn't always work out but it did in this instance.
