Brad Marchand has always been a thorn in the side of the Canadiens' players but there are a couple of moments that stood out for me...

A few months ago, Brad Marchand appeared on the What Chaos! podcast and talked about cleaning his act and the worst moves he's pulled in his career. Unsurprisingly, he confessed that a few older players pulled him aside and told him to focus on hockey rather than his antics.

As for his worst antics, he named two; the infamous Ryan Callahan licking and the sucker punch he gave goaltender Tristan Jarry. Of course, Canadiens fans probably have a few choice moments against the Canadiens in mind.

Personally, I'll never forget his sucker punch on Tomas Plekanec. It was in the 2014 playoffs, game seven, Boston vs. Montreal, 14:07 left in the third period the Canadiens' center is already ready for the draw, but not Marchand. He looks around, makes sure the referees aren't looking and gives the Montreal veteran a punch straight to the head.

The Canadiens would go on to win the game 3-1 and the series 4-3 after P.K. Subban had said:

I can’t wait for the crowd, the noise, the energy in the building. I can’t wait to take that all away from them"

This has to be one of the best Subban quote ever, especially since the Habs went to Boston and did just that.

No injuries came from that punch though unlike what came from his hit on Alexei Emelin back in 2012. Marchand has been known to often go down low and slew foot a lot of players in his career, but the knee on knee hit that sent the Canadiens' defenseman to the infirmary remains the worst hit he ever gave while facing Montreal.
