Tough news for the Canadiens star.

Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki's iron man streak is officially ending at 546 games.

The Canadiens announced on Thursday that Suzuki will be out for the next two to four weeks due to an upper-body injury.

With this news, Suzuki is set to miss game action for the first time in his NHL career. The eight-year NHL veteran put together an impressive iron man streak, and it is rough that it is now coming to an end.

This is also, of course, bad news for the Canadiens. Suzuki is the Habs' top forward, so him being out for multiple weeks is not good for Montreal. This is especially the case with their center depth already not being the strongest part of their roster.

The Canadiens are also having an up-and-down start to the season, as evidenced by their 4-3-2 record. Thus, the timing of this injury is tough for the Canadiens.

Suzuki has once again been good for the Canadiens so far this campaign, too, as he has five goals, 12 points, and a plus-6 rating in nine games. This is after he had 29 goals, 72 assists, 101 points, and a plus-37 rating in 82 games last season for Montreal. He also took home the Selke Trophy as the NHL's best two-way forward.

It will now be interesting to see if the Canadiens can adjust without Suzuki in their lineup. Here's to hoping that he ends up being good to return after only two weeks instead of four.
