The Montreal Canadiens held their Halloween party last night, and judging by the pictures posted on Instagram by Emma Fortin, veteran Brendan Gallagher's wife, there was nothing scary about the party.
It's hard to tell who's who in the picture, but it's easy to see players steered clear of spooky stuff. Perhaps they were scared enough by Jacob Trouba's hit on teammate Justin Barron on Tuesday night.
Fortin posted a picture of herself with Gallagher, clarifying that Disney's Ratatouille inspired their costume. You can see Josh Anderson and his wife Paola Finizio dressed in blinding fluorescent outfits on the right, and I believe it's David Savard in the middle of the front row, poking fun at his own age. At the same time, Kirby Dach and Christian Dvorak appear to be Air Force pilots; who's Maverik and Goose? You decide.
While the players must have been rather annoyed after the trouncing they received from the New York Rangers on Tuesday, it's important to learn lessons from such games but move on as a team afterward, and what better way to do that than with a party? It's always funny to look back a few years down the line who dressed up as what, P.K. Subban's effort in 2014 was a memorable one.
Who do you think is Spider-Man in the front row? My money is on Cole Caufield; it's the only explanation for why his huge grin is impossible to find anywhere in the picture.
