Don't be surprised if Dobson has a big season for the Canadiens.
Noah Dobson completed his first season as a member of the Montreal Canadiens in 2026-27.
Overall, Dobson had a solid first campaign with Montreal, posting 12 goals, 35 assists, 47 points, and a plus-5 rating in 80 games. With this, the 6-foot-4 defenseman proved to be a key part of Montreal's blueline and made a real impact.
Now, as he prepares for his second season as a member of the Canadiens, it would not be particularly surprising if he puts together an even better campaign for the Original Six club.
With Dobson now settled in with the Canadiens, the possibility of him making a more significant impact should not be ruled out.
Dobson has shown in the past that he can produce some serious offense from the point when playing at his best. During the 2023-24 season with the New York Islanders, he scored 10 goals and set career highs with 60 assists and 70 points.
If Dobson can get back to similar numbers with Montreal in 2026-27 while also playing a strong defensive game, it would be huge for the Original Six club.
It will now be interesting to see what kind of season Dobson can put together for Montreal this campaign. There is no question that he is one of their X-factors.
