Will Moore is a center who has a lot of tools a team would want in a player. The first thing you notice is the 6’2”, 175 pounds, he has a frame to build on. That will take some time. He is set to attend Boston College next year and over the next two or three seasons, he will develop there.

Moore had 23 goals and 24 assists in 55 games. He was the second best scorer on the NTDP and that’s not nothing. Earlier this year, he was off to a bit of a slow start point-wise, but he finished up the season strong and already had a point in his first game at the U18s representing Team USA.

Moore is a player who has been developing all season long. Earlier this season at the USHL fall classic, I thought his mistakes were magnified. He had some brain cramps for sure. Later in the season, I didn’t see that as much. What I did see was him going to the net and watching him deflect some goals in. That’s something that is very translatable. His skating is good and the rest is there waiting to emerge.

There’s a chance that he is a second line center but it will take 3-5 years to see if that will play out. Based on his development this season, and it’s not over yet, I think there’s a lot of upside here and a player the Canadiens should have on their board.
