The Laval Rocket snapped their four-game losing streak on Friday with a 5-3 win against the Toronto Marlies at Place Bell.
Laval had a good start to the contest with Mitchell Stephens scoring 2:29 after puck drop. It was only the second time this season that the Rocket led their opponents after 20 minutes.
Toronto scored two goals in 46 seconds in the final two minutes of the middle frame and a third goal 2:28 into the third period.
The Rocket bounced back with three consecutive goals in 8:03 to take the lead and then sealed the victory with an empty net goal.
Jakub Dobes started in goal for a second consecutive time for the first time in his young professional career and delivered solid performances. Dobes made several key stops in the second period to keep his team to a one-goal deficit. Jean-Francois Houle felt that it could have been 4-0 for Toronto if it wasn't for their goaltender.
Despite a hiccup that led to Toronto's third goal early in the third period, the 22-year old was not phased and shut the door the remainder of the contest.
On the offensive side, the third period comeback was led by Phillippe Maillet with a pair of goals, Jan Mysak with the tying goal and Brandon Gignac with three points.
